The
Standard Edition
will introduce you to the magic environment of
BAT-Spooler.
Lets character-based DOS, Linux, UNIX and Windows applications print to
any printer on your Windows network, without making changes to the original
application. Don't throw away your legacy DOS programs or UNIX/Linux
applications because of possible printer problems on Windows. BAT-Spooler grabs
the character-based print output from any job on your standalone or networked
computer, and print it to any Windows printer. BAT-Spooler comes with all the
extras that you would expect to find in a professional application. There is a
built-in WYSIWYG print previewer that shows exactly how the document will be
printed. You can include layouts, logos and other
images stored in separate files, for example to print your invoices into the
digital rappresentation of your invoice layout. The text can be colorized and you can set the
font to be used. And instead of using complicated printer emulation codes to create
special effects such as bold, italic, underline, and condensed, BAT-Spooler
inspect the print file that your application creates, and reproduce the
corresponding effects on any printer that you're using, even on GDI and
Windows-only printers that do not support emulation. Each document can be
exported to a high quality PDF file, crypted, saved and E-mailed to the respective recipients using your
standard E-mail client. You can E-mail your documents automatically or manually
or you can save the E-mails if you want, waiting the right moment to send
(or delete) them. Text output that was
originally formatted for a wide dot matrix printer now can be printed in
landscape mode to an inkjet, or to a laser or fax printer.
And don't worry about the size of your paper; BAT-Spooler will compute the new
size of the font to be used automatically, to fit in all the lines-per-page you
have set.
